Policy Change Regarding Customs Duties on Repair Items

To Our Valued Customers and Business Partners,

Thank you for using our products and services and for your continued partnership.
In recent years, we have observed a significant increase in cases where customs duties are imposed by Japanese customs authorities even on repair items shipped to Japan. Until now, Naruto Scissors has covered such customs charges; however, due to the growing number of cases, it has become increasingly difficult for us to continue doing so.

Accordingly, effective from November 1, 2025, any customs duties imposed on repair items sent directly to Naruto Scissors will be borne by the sender (the respective Partner or Customer).
Please note that any customs duties incurred will be added to the invoice along with repair and return shipping fees.

Essential Guidelines to Minimize Customs Charges
To help minimize customs charges, please ensure the following details are correctly stated when shipping repair items:

1. Do not declare the original purchase price of the scissors in the “Declared Value” section.
2. Please indicate a declared value of less than USD 100 .
3. In the “Contents Description” section, clearly write “Repair Item.”
4. For the HS Code, please specify “8213.00.”
